What is Joyously Give?
Joyously Give is the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation’s annual day of giving that will be held on Nov. 14-15, 2023. The event will run for 1,901 minutes in honor of the Sorority’s founding year. Together, members will help celebrate Founders’ Day by making gifts that continue to elevate the influence of women in the world.
When is it?
Joyously Give will run for 1,901 minutes on Nov. 14-15, 2023. The length and date correspond to Alpha Sigma Alpha’s founding year and Founders’ Day. The event will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 14 and will close at 8:41 p.m. ET on Nov. 15.
Who should participate in Joyously Give?
All members, alumnae and collegiate, are encouraged to participate in Joyously Give as a way to honor our heritage and strengthen our future. We also hope that friends and family of Alpha Sigma Alpha women will give in honor of the impact the Sorority and Foundation have had on the life of a woman they love.
Collegiate members are encouraged to participate by individually giving through the 1901 Society with a donation of $19.01 or more. Members of the 1901 Society receive an exclusive 1901 dangle in recognition of their generosity.
I would love to help with Joyously Give, how can I do so?
The first way to help with Joyously Give is to make a gift.
The second way you can help with Joyously Give is by serving as a day of giving ambassador. Ambassadors will work with Foundation staff to promote the event on social media and in their Alpha Sigma Alpha networks. Sign up to become an Ambassador using the box on the home screen or email fndstaff@alphasigmaalpha.org for more information.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! All donations to the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. All online donors will receive an electronic receipt at the time the gift is made. Donors who give $100 or more throughout the calendar year are sent a summary of their annual giving for tax-purposes in January 2024. The Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation’s Tax ID number is: 43-1430061.
How do you use my donation?
Gifts to the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation provide financial support for many of the Sorority's educational programs including The Academy, Emma Coleman Frost Leadership Development Institute, National Convention & Leadership Conference, Behind Happy Faces and more.
These initiatives elevate the influence of women in the world by providing educational opportunities for all members. The Foundation also supports individual educational goals of our members by providing undergraduate and graduate scholarships.
Unless otherwise specified, gifts made through Joyously Give will benefit the Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund have the biggest impact on our organization as they allow flexibility to ensure your contribution is used where and when it is needed most. Thank you!
Can I make a gift over the phone?
We encourage you to make your donation online using our secure payment processor. However, if you prefer to make your gift over the phone, please call the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation at 317-871-2920 and ask to speak to Foundation staff during normal business hours leading up to or the Tuesday of the live event.
